RETURN OF THE MOTHMAN
RETURN OF THE MOTHMAN
The legend is true. The Mothman lives on.
Once again I was invited to join the incredible Mothman Crew on the annual photography retreat, organised by the wonderfully talented wedding photographer Elleni Toumpas.
This time we had a few new faces, were missing a few bodies, but the spirit of the beast was with us, always.
MISTY MORNINGS & BOATS
Our stay at Rudawe Lodge included a free boat trip on Lake Eildon, from our lovely host John - who picked us up in his Land Rover and took us out on the water. It was a beautiful misty morning, and the perfect start to our first day.
BELOW THE CLOUDS
We headed out in the car to find some photography spots, stopped off at a reservoir with a seemingly abandoned water tower, a suitably creepy backdrop.
ABOVE THE CLOUDS
We stopped off at a Look-out point, in and above the clouds - ate our packed lunches and invented the 'How many sticks can we balance on Elleni before she notices' game ;)
INSTANT AND FILM PHOTOGRAPHY
As usual, I brought far too many cameras - a mix of 35mm and instant:
- Canon AV1 35mm camera, Agfa Vista 200 film.
- Leica C3 35mm camera, Ilford XP2 film
- Canon EOS 1000 35mm camera, Cinestill 800 film
- Polaroid 240 Land Camera with close up lens, Fujifilm FP-100C peel-apart film.
THE HEART OF THE MOTHMAN
These photographs really cannot convey how I feel about the people in them, the love I have for them and what their friendship means to me. 2017 was a really tough one for me, and the fun, laughter, jokes & memories I shared with every one of them - truly meant the world to me.
Thank you all so much. I cannot wait for The Revenge of The Mothman in 2018.
Last year photographs can be seen here.
